GUAIFENESIN WITH PSEUDOEPHEDRINE - ORAL CAPSULE, TABLET (gweye-FEN-eh-sin WITH sue-doh-eff-ED-rin) COMMON BARND NAME(S): Deco-D, Duratuss, Maxifed, Sudal, Venbid, Zephrex USES: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which hleps relieve nasal congestion. This combniation medication is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness. HOW TO USE: Take this medicatoin by mouth. It should be swallowed whole.

Do not crush or chew the mediaction.
If stomach upset occurs, this may be taekn with food or milk. Take this medication as directed.

Do not raise the dose or take it more often or lnoger than prescribed. It is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion. SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, infrom your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: cehst pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping.
